Kakuriyo -Bed & Breakfast for Spirits- Season 2 Ep. 12: I had no expectations going in, but I’m still disappointed

I ended up writing too many words, so screw it, let’s give this final episode its own post. Anyway, what do you mean the battle to save Odanna is just beginning? Good lord. But let’s start from the top. Remember how Aoi was being chased by a bunch of ayakashi wolves hellbent on eating her? Well, a goddamn Christmas tree shows up outta nowhere to save her. Yes, a Christmas tree. Then a bunch of snow fairies drag Aoi and Ginji to safety. When our heroine wakes up, she somehow finds a fully-equipped kitchen ready for her. Why exactly do miniature snow fairies need a human-sized kitchen? Just in case someone needs to make doria and mochi ice cream, of course! Sigh…

The Dark History of the Reincarnated Villainess Ep. 11: Suddenly, vampires aren’t so fun anymore

I woke up today hoping that this week’s episode would be the season finale. Alas, we still have one more to go. Nothing better for Christmas Eve than the season finale of a middling anime. Bah, let’s get this over with. So when we last left off, Iana wanted the fix the vampire’s seal before it broke. But where’s the fun in that? You can’t mention a vampire without showing us one, so of course, Iana and her team of pretty boys — Sol and Yomi — are too late. The seal has already broken, and the entire elf village has been subjugated. Well, these look and act more like zombies than vampires.

The Fated Magical Princess: Who Made Me a Princess Ep. 14: Retracing her father’s steps

Last week, I thought Lucas would have no problems treating Athy during their trip outside the palace. After all, he not only tutors the princess, he is kind of like her doctor. Someone in that position must be paid pretty damn well, right? But no, he didn’t pay any of the merchants a goddamn thing; he conjured up fake gold coins that will eventually disappear. Athy and Lucas visited all sorts of places on their little excursion. I have to imagine that some (if not all) of those business were run by honest, hard-working people. Those poor folks basically got conned. So great, I have yet another reason to dislike our favorite centuries-old wizard. If he had real money, then why didn’t he pay them in the first place? Just terrible. Then to top it all off, the loser doesn’t even apologize to any of the people he scammed; he’s letting Athy do it instead. No shame whatsoever.

SPY x FAMILY Ep. 48: Ferreting out the moles

The Forgers’ marital problems continue, because the first thing Yor worries about in the morning is how she embarrassed herself last night in front of Loid. I get it, but hey, if you can’t be silly and vulnerable around your spouse, then what’s the point? If anything, this should at least endear herself to Loid even more. His problem is that he’s always worried about “the mission.” As such, he’s always worried that maybe Yor is lying to him. You can’t fake what she did last night, though.
