The Fated Magical Princess: Who Made Me a Princess Ep. 13: Our princess gets to flex her (magic) muscles

I’m tired of typing out Athanasia all the time, so I guess I’ll go with Athy from now on. I should’ve done this earlier. I don’t know why I waited so long. There can’t be very many episodes left in the season. With that out of the way, we can get down to business. Immediately, Athy is shocked to find Ijikiel in her personal library. Apparently, he snuck in. Kinda not cool, man. Granted, from his perspective, she’s done the same to him. But their first encounter was entirely Lucas’s fault. I dunno, I’m not personally keen on people showing up without letting me know first. My home should feel safe, y’know? I shouldn’t turn the corner and find someone who isn’t supposed to be there. Plus, what was even his plan? Did he know the princess was headed here? Or did he just decide, “Hm, yes, if I stand around here aimlessly, I’m bound to bump into her!”

Sanda Ep. 10: Talk about the peak of youth

Y’know, I honestly never expected Niko to like Sanda. They were arranged to be married by the state, so I guess I assumed she didn’t have a choice in the matter. Maybe she did, maybe she didn’t. It’s also possible she just fell for him overtime. But why? And when? It’s not like they’ve spent a lot of time onscreen together. Has she liked him from before the events of the story? Or is it because he’s a little more attractive now that he’s tapped into his Santa alter ego? Or maybe this is just something I’ll never understand, because I’m not a big proponent of arranged marriages to begin with. Ultimately, I suppose I underestimated Sanda. In fact, he likes the kiss so much that he goes back in for seconds. Hell, he practically tries to suck her face off. What better way to celebrate the “peak of youth” ceremony, huh?

May I Ask for One Final Thing? Ep. 11: The calm before we punch up a storm

When we last left off, we were told that we have an emergency on our hands: the negotiations with Falconia can’t proceed as planned. Well, it turns out the negotiations are in shambles because our newfound allies, the dragoons of Vankish, are a bunch of combat-thirsty battlemongers. As a result, Nanaka and Dios can’t get close to the elves hiding out in a nearby forest. They of course run to Scarlet for help. She then passes the information along to Alflame, hoping that he can rein his men in. Instead, he turns his body into a living nuke and genocides a bunch of mobs. Sure, it gets the job done, but this is why he’s always going to lose to Julius when it comes to winning Scarlet’s heart. At least the prince can serve as a counterbalance to our heroine. If she goes with the meathead instead, then it’s just too much of the same thing. Their kids would also be combat-thirsty battlemongers.

My Awkward Senpai Ep. 10: A fever dream

Oh no, Kamegawa is sick? He’s gonna call out, right? Well, not exactly. Bro actually says he’ll try to make it back by the afternoon. First the typhoon, and now this. I mean, if he’s legitimately sick, then he’s just going to spread his germs everywhere. But again, I don’t know what the work culture is like in Japan. They do wear masks a lot more willingly than we do. But while I’m thinking, Man, Kamegawa better be reasonable and not come into work, the gears are already set in motion for Kannawa to crash his apartment.
