Looks like the hits don’t stop coming

Lost my cat two weeks ago, got laid off today. I don’t wanna quit blogging, but yeah, not in the mental state to talk about anime. So another break, wheeee!

I’ve been avoiding the majority of the news since the election anyway. But yes, capitalism rolled the dice on a few hundred folks today and I was one of the losers.

The current job market and recent trends in tech leave me… apprehensive. But shrug, what can you do? I either find a job or die.

For anyone who sees this, I’m sure I’ll be blogging again real soon. I’ve been through the job search grind before, so I know how long it takes. Granted, it was more than ten years ago, but I doubt anything has changed. Not only that, I’m not rosy about the current US job market. Basically, I’ll have a ton of time to idle and mess around. You can send out a ton of job applications a day and still end up with a ton of time on your hands. And said time will be filled with grinding leet code, maybe contributing to some open source projects, and naturally, anime. I just need to stop throwing myself a pity party. As soon as that’s done, I’ll be back to blogging.

Probably next season so I can watch Dandadan and also binge watch the currently airing Aharen-san.
