Or simply Sea Story. I know nothing about this goddamn show besides its egregious use of tildes. We’re gonna try to give our live impressions of most of the summer’s new shows. You won’t find any episode recaps here because we at Moe Sucks largely find them to be a pointless exercise. Inside jokes follow and we’re not comedians so take it with a grain of salt.

So it’s doubtful we’ll watch the next episode. Final thoughts?
E Minor: I think “kirei” was uttered about 8 fucking times throughout the whole show. About as often as the main girl giving her “O” face. That reminds me… I don’t even know her name–she’s utterly forgettable. Hell, the lead male hasn’t even said a word.
Nyoro~n :3: Minna, wakarimasen desuyo! Goddamn. My head seriously hurts. Gonna lie down.
The Fin: How can that possibly have been twenty minutes long? We don’t know shit about any of the characters or the plot. There is literally no reason for us to come back next week (we knew that already though).
So there you have it. Another quality anime. Here, have a fist.

Quality fucking animation, son!
But we’re just a bunch of bitter nerds here at Moe Sucks. Let’s pick one blog randomly off the tag search and see what they think.

I watched this up to episode 3 recently and I can’t help but notice how much the blonde-haired lead in this show looks like Lisa from Blacksmith….That just kept bothering me, though that’s not all of why I stopped watching. They flipped the plot coin up in the air in episode 2 and it landed on tails. One of those, “if you don’t stop such-and-such person who can only act through monster-of-the-week attacks, the world will be covered in darkness,” kinds of stories. Of course now we have the reversal mode of that kind of story with Letter Bee (there have been others, I’m sure) showing us that the world being covered in darkness really isn’t that terrifying.
You’re really digging through the summer season. I think this is the third old show you’ve commented on.
I don’t really remember anything of Sea Story anymore. I just recall it had a very sleep-inducing vibe from the first episode.
It’s a phase I go through whenever I finish a fairly long show. Plus, usually when going through a season, I’ll either forget about or completely overlook 2 or 3 shows and usually go back later and see a bit. That’s what happened here. For example, this season, I overlooked Bantorra, Miracle Train, Patissiere and Umineko. I’ll probably go back to one of them later, once I’ve built up my tolerance to graphic horror-type scenes.
…Damn cookie clearing…
Umineko is so cartoony, it’s really not graphic. Plus they pixelate it anyhow.
Then again, I can’t really say much regarding extreme violence after having watched all of the Hellsing OVAs…
