I want to keep up with bad anime for a variety of reasons. Sometimes, they’re so bad that they’re good. Sometimes, they give me material for the Say What? section. The problem, however, is that it’s hard to watch bad anime alone. But no worries… this time, I will harness the power of Facebook to help me get through terrible shows. After all, Facebook has millions and millions of people and they can’t all be wrong.
Dog Days
It’s an anime about a dude who fell through a portal one day and landed on a dog girl who has a dog kingdom that needs saving. I think that about covers it ’cause this anime isn’t even so bad it’s good bad; it’s just bad bad. Duke, roll that beautiful bean footage:
Look at that riveting action. No one seriously likes this, right? Right? Let’s do it, Facebook — gimme the lowdown.
Boop boop bloop boop bloop DING!

A-Channel
Facebook hasn’t let me down quite yet. So it got one anime wrong. There are tons of anime out there so you’re bound to get weird results every now and then. Lessee… moving right along, we have A-Channel, a show I quickly abandoned after one episode. Was I too quick in my judgment?
Poor ol’ Run forgot to put on one of her socks. Hey, it happens — we can all empathize.
Uh… Facebook?
Boop boop bloop boop bloop DING!
Young schoolgirls forgetting to wear panties… SO ADORABLE.

Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi
Next up, our BL anime of the season. Ritsu finds out that his former high school flame is now his boss. C’moooon Facebook, gimme what you got!
Boop boop bloop boop bloop DING!
Well, I dunno what “the new Junjou Romantica” means… but… okay!
Huh? What part are you talking about, a purple rat named Cheese Cake?
Oh… oh…
I really, really disliked Junjou Romantica, and this is from the same creator, so I will probably hate it. I’m not a huge fan of the it’s-not-rape-it’s-love approach to BL, and Junjou Romantica was packed full of that. Blech. — adaywithoutme
Why didn’t I listen?

I think I’m at a lost for words. Facebook… y-you’re breaking my heart. One last chance and nothing depressing, please! — just give me something… something inspiring and hopeful. Something to keep my chin up, a smile on my face, and a skip in my step. Okay, Facebook, hit me!
Boop boop bloop boop bloop DING!

Dog days is awesome, I can say I seriously like it, the simple joy of a light-hearted fantasy. Not everything has to be super DEEP.
~Pearz
So the only alternative to Dog Days is “super DEEP” shows? Wow, I didn’t know that.
If you’re havin’ anime problems I feel bad for you son,
I got 99 problems but a bad anime ain’t one
In a more cosmically just world, Ice-T would be on your doorstep with a baseball bat right now.
Actually he’s too busy hawking crappy books right now.
On a boat.
Why would Ice-T show up to punish Nyo for biting a rhyme from Jay-Z? Do all rappers with 4 letter hyphenated names look the same to you?
Actually, Ice-T is in my refrigerator right now since Hot-T isn’t so cool, but thanks for being concerned!
Eh, I’ve found Dog Days enjoyable so far. I don’t acknowledge it as anything more than a guilty pleasure though. Decent way to kill 22 minutes, but not worth remembering half a year down the line.
Putting the quality of Dog Days aside for a minute, there’s still a stark difference between ‘enjoyable’ and the adjectives ‘awesome’ and ‘amazing’ being used to describe it.
I concur completely. I won’t ever describe it as anything but “Alright, I guess” or something along those lines. Nor can I see where people are getting the ‘awesome’ from.
I’m just amazed I brought up four shows and all people can talk about is Dog Days.
Well, that’s the only one of the four that I’ve bothered watching.
A Channel looked like an even worse K-On and I’d rather not subject myself to that again, I’m not into BL, and Seikon no Qwaser just doesn’t appeal to me.
I agree with “not bad” and “fun” for Dog Days. It also gives me acute diabetes and reminds me of certain fermented milk products.
Yeah, why didn’t you listen?
All the Rie Kugimiya anime has left me with very selective hearing.
All you can hear is wan wan wan.
You’re right, I hear “wan wan” out of all Kugimiya character!
Dog days: the finest student under dynasty warriors. You got over 30 guys and and only 2 are attacking. Oi why they fail military for ever.
More than two attackers would require, like, effort.
I was actually playing a dynasty warriors 4 a few weeks ago. The AI is indeed that terrible so bad they care more about making sure you don’t get on a horse than killing you. >_>
Well, I guess Dog Days did its research.
I just went w/e when I saw most of these, then I got to the last one and then I just went >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>: irl.
Dog Days = Crap.
A Channel = Blah.
Sekai-ichi = Meh. Sister turned to me for a few seconds because of a “OMG JUNJOU ROMANTICA CAMEO LOOKLOOKLOOK IT’S AKIHIKO!”
> Looking at facebook
Why don’t you try watching Madoka? That show made a big fuss on /a/.
Not really into mahou shoujo anime and the trailers/OP didn’t seem too promising.

YOU ARE GOING TO WATCH MADOKA.
Whoa, I am?
This just means SHAFT trolled you.
Trolled me from watching their product? Sure, I guess. Good job, Shaft.
No, I know what Madoka’s like — more serious than it looks, etc; I’ve read other people’s thoughts on it. Despite all of this, I just don’t care.
Back in my day, trolling used to mean something.
