I was just sitting there, browsing the web and minding my own business when my mouse started to move on its own. “What’s wrong, boy?” I asked. “Did a virus infect the computer?”
The mouse cursor on my computer monitor shook as if it wanted to nod then it began to hover over a particular file on my desktop. Upon closer inspection, I saw that the mouse had singled out the first episode of Mashiro-Iro Symphony. I downloaded the video file earlier that night, but I just hadn’t gotten around to watching it.
“Aw, c’mon!” I exclaimed. “I know it’s probably another generic harem adaptation, but we should watch every anime at least once.”
The mouse shook furiously again, but this time, it wanted to say no. My Media Player Classic suddenly started up and an anime began to play. The mouse quickly leapt to the seek bar and the show jumped to around the four minute mark. I watched as a shounen tried to navigate a dark Japanese neighborhood in search of a dullard of a sister.
“Yeah, this looks boring, but it’s not that bad, is it?”
The mouse went back to the seek bar and the anime jumped forward again. This time, I saw the boy from earlier soaking in the bathtub. All of a sudden, his sister entered the bathroom with nothing but a towel covering her naked body.
Despite her brother’s vehement protestations, she wanted them to bathe together.
“I understand what you mean now,” I said with a sigh. “Manglobe has really changed….” I moved quickly to delete Mashiro-Iro Symphony from my hard drive for good, but it was too late to salvage the night. But wait….
…we can still….
…this is the end of the post. What? You didn’t expect me to write 500 words on Mashiro-Iro Symphony, did you? But wait a minute, Nyoron just pointed something out to me:

Adventures of the Little Mouse
Oh, great, now I’m gonna have to watch that shitty show you did comparison screenshots to because it has weird, fucked-up-looking cat things in it, too.
Well, I wrote a review of it if you would rather see a condensed version of it: https://moesucks.com/2009/07/07/tayutama-kiss-on-my-deity-ep-1/
It’s not pretty.
Thanks, couldn’t remember the name of it… my brain just going “Tamayura but not… uh.. think it was sugarcube who did the game?”
It’s a bad anime. No need to watch it.
But it has fucked-up cat-things!
Any anime that I touch can turn into comedy gold.
i just don’t touch a lot of anime
Does this work for people, too?
no because that sounds creepy.
Uguuuuuu
I’m having a hard time deciphering what you’re saying with the Champloo shot. The post makes me thing you’re saying they at least did something good once, but you chose such a QUALITY shot. Clearly this is important and I won’t be able to sleep without an answer. I did enjoy the Samurai Shampoo, so I’ll just project and assume you meant the former.
I do wonder what the color of lovers is.
The color of lovers is shite.
Oh, excuse me, its white. My bad.
The Color Purple.
Maybe Manglobe can only pull off samurai shows (e.g. Samurai Champloo, House of Five Leaves); as for the rest, who knows…
Ergo Proxy was… okay.
or the next best thing after evangelion for some, lol. not for me though. as for symphony…uh..i don’t even know what to say, besides the obvious. mmm…why the obsession with fucked up cat things?
Ergo Proxy would’ve been alright had it stuck with its semi-horror tone in the first episode. But then it just became ugly dudes flying around fighting like DBZ and that was really fucking stupid to me.
I name one good thing about the show: the scene with Airi telling off Shingo before it gets to the ED. Otherwise, ZZZZ….
That cat thing creeped me right the hell out. Other than that, nothing worth mentioning, except my never ending boredom with the whole deal.
Unrelated, your mouse and my touchpad would get along perfectly.
You keep your dirty touchpad away from my mouse.
I’m…confused…are mashiro-iro and tamayura related? It looks and sounds like the same shit.
Nah, Tamayura is boring, worthless junk. I don’t like the former, but meh, comedy is better than snooze-inducing nothingness.
This is random but I actually took the time to read your banner and I realized that you copied the “The Treachery of Images” by Rene Magritte. I just learned about that in english class…you’re really clever!! ahah :)
Yeah, well, you’re the first person to mention it. So, uh, you’d win something if this wasn’t just another anime blog.
