Mamoru Hosoda’s Summer Wars has gotten a lot of high praise from both reviewers and bloggers. “Imaginative,” “gorgeous…” even “perfect” — these are just some of the words that have been used to describe this movie.
Well, they’re right about one thing… it is pretty. I just didn’t like anything else.
I went to see Ninja Assassin today because I have awful taste and my friend got me cheap tickets.
Clocking in at 105 minutes, Twilight of the Cockroach’s Roger Rabbit-like mix of anime and live action is hardly a fun, quirky movie about adorable anthropomophized cockroaches. In fact, it’s hard to tell what the movie is trying to say.
